Computer network installation is efficient and commonly use today. It provides sharing information and staying in touch constantly.
Network installation includes the kind of topology, network operating system, the right network interface cards and cabling needs to be considered. There are different topologies to be use depends on the size of the area that needs to be network. The location of the network cables, various devices, hubs, switches,and servers.Good network planning can help everyone for an easy access to each computers.
The operating system to be used by the server is Microsoft Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition and the clients will used the Windows XP. The possible topology that we are going to install is star-bus topology. We are going to have a one computer server to serve as a File server. This is where the professors will check every work of their students.
It is necessary for a college in a university to have a network. College of Information and Communications Technology is belong to the fastest changing field. It is sufficient to students of CICT to broaden their knowledge that is why we want to have a internet connection for easier and faster transfer of knowledge and information.
